Zip Zoom Fly hard drive shipment better than Newegg?
I’ve read that Newegg is not good for properly shipping hard drives, so DOA’s are more common. Anyone have any experience with ZipZoomfly hard drive package/shipment quality? I don’t want to get a DOA, so buying from a local CompUSA is an option, although the total price would be higher.
I have bought from both as well as buy.com, amazon, and tigetdirect, and Zip Zoom is pathetic when it comes to shipping. newegg is the only site I shop from, they have fast shipping from UPS (Zoom uses USPS and ‘we will get it there when we are good and ready to’). I have ordered many HDD’s from the egg and NONE have been DOA, all have been wrapped in bubble wrap and in a box full of packing peanuts.
